The Northern Rivers of NSW is renowned for the many festivals that take place throughout the year -- there is the famous Byron Bay BluesFest in April; Splendour in the Grass Festival in July; Falls Music and Arts Festival in December, etc. If you are a lover of great music and arts then come and visit the Northern Rivers!

 

In addition, there are numerous white sandy beaches that you can frolick in -- there are the Byron Bay beaches with its eclectic people and laid back style, as well as Pottsville and Cabarita beaches which are great surfing spots.

Explore Pottsville Markets
The Pottsville Markets are on every 1st and 3rd Sunday at the Phillips Street Reserve. Ask a local if unsure where this is.
Take a sourdough making class
The class includes a take home sourdough starter which can give you infinite loaves of sourdough. Also includes method, instructions and recipes. Located in Bogangar, near Cabarita Beach.
Wine tasting at Ilnam Estates
Local winery here in the Tweed with great cafe which is open Wednesday to Sunday for Lunch, Morning or Afternoon Teas.
Surf the waves
Great waves to be had at Cabarita Beach and Black Rocks, Pottsville.
